Stalkers and frequent visitors to this site will note that the wedding venue was originally a vineyard, and then a church hall. In both cases we were kind of trying to fit a certain sterotype for a wedding. Then one day, after an arguement about something stupid, we met our DJ. He pointed out that it's our special day, and it can be whatever we want.
Well you know what we want? A Big Ass BBQ at Leighanne's Dad's house. where everyone can run around outside, drink good beer, and generally avoid the stuffy wedding atmosphere. Plus, we kinda fell in love over some hot dogs and cheese fries. There's a reason for everything, including this dude:
So we've finally settled on Leighanne's Dad's Farm as the ideal place for this event. It's going to be pretty low-key, so feel free to dress "semi-casual" ;-)
We've got a big tent booked, but expect a short walk from parking area to event. Porta potties... paper plates... you know the drill.
The awesome thing about getting married at a BBQ is that we can all eat as many ribs as we want! That, and party till dawn.
