 Getting Around

Flying

Fly to New York: JFK airport, Newark or Laguardia. If you want to avoid the big city, there is also air service to Albany, NY and Hartford, Connecticut. For people flying from CA, Northwest Airlines usually has good fares into Albany.

Driving

Although we will provide some transportation (see below) you are probably best off having your own. Well known names for car-rental are Avis, Alamo, Enterprise, Budget and Hertz. You will find most of those in New York City, at the various New York airports and at Hartford Airport. Note that in case you plan on renting in the city, driving up and then leaving your car in Rhinebeck and taking the train back to New York, only Enterprise has a rental location close to Rhinebeck (in Kingston, 10 minutes away.)  We find a GPS system in our rental car very useful.

Train

In case you want to take the train to Rhinebeck, we suggest using Amtrak , getting on at Penn Station in New York (code: NYP), getting off at Rhinecliff station (code: RHI). This station is 2.5 miles/3 km from central Rhinebeck and our wedding location; Taxis are available.

Taxis

If you need a taxi, there're two names that we recommend:

Nick's taxi (845) 876-5570, located both at Rhinecliff station and in Rhinebeck Rhinebeck Taxi Dispatch Service  (845) 876-2010

Kingstonkabs (845) 331-8242, where the K stands for kwality

(845) 758 8294; Another unknown vendor

PARTY VAN

We will most likely be running a van between Norrie Point State Park and Rhinebeck on Saturday. Cheers!
